Hello
I’m so glad you found my page and taking this first step to find someone to meet with. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work providing therapy in North Austin. I was born and raised in Central Texas – I have left several times to live elsewhere – London and California to list a couple – but no place can quite live up to the beauty of the hill country, the kindness of strangers in Texas or that Austin will always feel like home.
My Style
My goal during out time together is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, whether this is your first time engaging in therapy or just the first meeting with me. It is about the relationship we establish through our work together that change can begin to happen. I want to cultivate a space where you feel accepted and free of judgement. I believe that it takes courage and strength to seek help, and we will build upon that strength during our time together.
My Experience
I have been working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in Central Texas since 2004. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Science in Social Work and have provided services in a variety setting including schools, mandated residential programs, and community health. My training and experience enables me to provide individualized services specific to who you are as a person and support your personal goals.
When I’m not in the office I can be found spending time with my family usually making up silly songs about random things such as the farmers marker, going to swim class or my nieces who don’t eat meat. Everything is better in song. I try to spend as much time outside, if it is in the middle of summer I can usually be found submerged in the closest body of water. I’m a lover of animals and have two cats, and one pup (the shelter said he’s a german shepherd/dachsund mix) He’s adorable and oddly shaped. I love all things related to comedy and can understand how laughter really is the best medicine for pain and suffering if only to bring us a brief moment of joy during a dark time.
